The Simpsons have predicted — as they shockingly and sort of usually do — that Kamala Harris would become Vice President in 2021. Or at least, that’s what fans think.

Vice President Harris was sworn in alonside President Joe Biden yesterday, Jan. 20, at the Inauguration Day event. Donald Trump did not attend the gathering.

Both won the presidential election back in November, however, some hardcore fans think this was already foretold by The Simpsons.

INAUGURATION DAY – Who Designed Kamala Harris’ Purple Coat?

According to The Wrap, Lisa Simpson and Kamala Harris — sort of — matched their outfits. The Vice President wore a custom pearl necklace by Puerto Rican designer Wilfredo Rosado, and her coat was a Christopher Jones Rogers creation.

As for the necklace, the outlet indicates was a nod to her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, whose members receive badges adorned with pearls.

The whole outfit wore by Harris definitley resembles Lisa’s at the long-time famous sitcom.

Kamala Harris is the first-ever female to become a US Vice President. She is also the very first black and indian person to do so. As for what The Simpsons, predicted, Lisa Simpson begins her term right after Donald Trump ends his — The Oracles, should be called.

Inauguration Day was flooded with purple outfits by many female politicians, such as Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren and of course, Kamala Harris. She arrived wearing a purple top, a purple jacket, and what looked to be a pearl beaded necklace and earrings.

Twitter users were quick enough to call out the similarities, and so the Twitter trend began.

One person wrote:

Someone in the #simpsons has a f*cking time machine I swear.

According to the New York Post, the purple color was used as a symbol of bipartisanship — a mix of Republican red and Democratic blue — for Inauguration Day.

As for why, two decades ago, they chose to predict Trump would be president, writer Dan Greaney told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘It was a warning to America. And that just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane.’
