TNT TV show “Snowpiercer” has been renewed and extended for a Season 3, according to reports.

The news about its upcoming season come a week ahead of the Season 2 release, set for January 25 on TNT.

According to The Wrap, “Snowpiercer” made its debut last year, becoming the most “in” TV show entertainment program in May, with 3.3 million total viewers across TNT and TBS.


“Snowpiercer” centers on what’s left of humanity as spieces who live in a perpetually moving train with 1001 cars around the globe. The TV show is based on the graphic novel and 2013 film of the same name.

Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, and Steven Ogg star in Snowpiercer.

“Snowpiercer” is executive produced by G/ “Snowpiercer” is executive produced by Graeme Manson, Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements; Matthew O’Connor, Ben Rosenblatt and Scott Derrickson; along with CJ Entertainment and the original film’s producers, Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Tae-sung Jeong, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi. The series is produced by Tomorrow Studios, according to the outlet.
